Sharron, my son buys and sells on ebay but I daren't start doing it, I wouldn't know when to stop! On a couple of occasions I have asked him to get me something if I have looked on there, and he did buy one item, a small piece of material that I thought pretty and very cheap, to make into a cushion cover. Needless to say it's still in the bag of fabric lol The second time he said I didn't get the item, I think he didn't try cos he knew I would only hoard it lol

I have never looked at e-Bay. Just have never felt the need.Don't know why but it could be that I don't trust myself.

I can come home from Trago with nine bowls I don't need so who knows what little bargains I could not live without off e-Bay.

Annina, not to worry. Although I am only two stops down the motorway from you, it is now some years since I came to Sheffield, perhaps a couple of years after they built Meadowhall. I am too busy keeping ours in business. LOLOL

Edited to say, I got enough Aran wool to make me a cardi for £17.98. Mind you, I did buy other yarns whilst I was in the shop, coming to £54 odd, altogether. But at least it will keep me busyLOL

I see nobody has mentioned E bay.

At the moment I am confined to the house, looking after sick husband. If I didn't have E bay would go bananas, Last week I bought some beautiful aran wool for £25,enough to knit a large jumper for Oh.

Mind you, I didn't notice the postage was £10 until I pressed the Pay button.

Julie in Derbyshire, don't you dare trespass in MY charity shops!!!

Sharron, I have one of the big glass mixing bowls, so I know what you mean. Perhaps keep looking around the Charity shops, or the Cheapjack type of shop
Happy hunting

No Liz,they are the glass ones that Lakeland don't do any more.

Bought a nice big tea-pot in a Red Cross shop recently. That is getting plenty of use.

What I really want is a big glass/Pyrex mixing bowl.I had one and OH broke it.Nothing quite fills it's space.I miss it!

Julia, you and I sound very alike, I was naughty earlier this week and got two huge square cushion pads with Vitafoam in, so they should stay nice and firm for ages, total cost £3.50 in our local charity shop, how could I not buy them? I am fed up with cheap cushions going flat so if I don't keep these as large cushons I can make them into several smaller ones. I try and steer clear of charity shops now as I can never come out emptyhanded altho I am better at saying no to myself now. I put a John Lewis fake fur hat back on the shelf, it was lovely but I have turned into my Mother with hats, and I really have enough already. I never thought I would wear them but now need something to keep my head warm as my hair is so thin.
And I stock up the cupboards too, so does my cousin, hers had to be strengthened as they were sagging with the weight lol

Sharron, are they the multicoloured stacking bowls, cos I love those too.
Hope you find room for them somewhere?

Happy Shopping!

I must confess that I did buy a nesting set of nine bowls which I had coveted for a long time when Lakeland sold them for a large price and I told myself I had no room to store them. They were only £4.99 at Trago so that pushed the over-ride button.

I still have nowhere to keep them.

Charity Shops, these are my downfall. After declining a trip out with OH to another town on Saturday, because he has to pay his car insurance, I realised this morning that this town has my favourite charity shops. So the trip is on again, weather permitting.
I am also a sucker for jigsaws and books, and the shop which sold both, in this same town has now closed down. Boo hoo. Knitting wool, and not so much these days, dress fabric, are another of my down falls.
A day out at Denby Visitors Centre can guarantee my buying, not the pottery, which I do not particularly like, but some sort of gadget, large or small, from the Cookery Emporium.
But my piece de resistance, has to be the Garden Centres, choice of four around here, on Sunday mornings for coffee. As an avid gardener, I am now coming into MY season. If it is less than a fiver, I'll buy it, just to see if I can make it grow. My bedside reading at the moment is the potato catalogue, in readiness for the allotment. And,of course, these places sell so much more these days, than garden requisites.
And, if I go to a more upmarket supermarket, I have to buy ingredients as if they are going out of fashion. OH groans at my store cupboards and deep freezers.
I suppose what suits one person, doesn't suit us all.
Off out on a planned trip to buy some wool, oh yes, and I will just have to call in at S*****burys, on the way back. I am sure there are some knitting magazines due out today.

I remember the first time I took my other half to the scrapyard, now that is my kind of shopping. He was horrified and kind of hid behind me.What horrified him even more was the fact that I was such a regular shopper there that they knew me by name.

Maybe we need to send Gok Wan round and get you out proper shopping Sharron lol

Trago reminds me of shopping at Trago Mills in Falmouth, 1997, came home with a lovely bright pink cord jacket, the first clothes item o.h. bought me costing more than I would usually pay myself, if you get me. I loved it in the shop and went off it when we got back. He often says where's that jacket I bought you (13 yrs on lol) it's stuffed at the back of a wardrobe in a room full of junk so I can't get to it, I suppose one day it will be fashionable again lol
