I did the baking.
No.1 did the cleaning up.

Giant heavy glass mixing/measuring cup for melting the butter and chocolate. He hates the giant glass measuring cup with a passion. So much so that four Christmases ago I bought him a set of stainless steel mixing bowls. I do the mixing -- he does the washing, and he was very happy about the new bowls. (The next year, he got new tea towels.) But you can't put them in the microwave!

Small measuring cup for measuring butter (add hard butter to 1 cup cold water until it measures a cup and a half, and you have 1/2 cup butter), and another small measuring cup for measuring the sugar and flour (hey, the first one was wet).

Medium stainless steel mixing bowl for beating the eggs and adding the sugar. (I think you're not supposed to beat eggs in metal, but oh well.)

Then it all went into the big glass thing to make a sticky gooey mess.

Add a wire wisk, a couple of wooden spoons, the measuring spoon set, and the baking dish, and he was all set.

But he loved those brownies!
