Whirls I just ordered a burger maker from Ebay brand new in box...100 sheets of dibble £5 inc postage !!!

I'll let you know if they turn out edible LOL xx

JG, as said the recipe i gave you is based on my bread maker........so results on others may vary:)

Muffy, I havent frozen a rolled out piece of dough, so dont know the answer, normally things that go in the freezer, like veg are blanched beforehand ie semi cooked...........

I'd probably cook the rolled out dough for abt 3 mins, leave to cool then freeze.........but i maybe wrong...............YOU GOT ME THINKING NOW........

Muffy and homemade burgers dont shrink like the frozen shop ones do.........a pound of mince meat goes along way when burger making...

Whirls....If I were to make another pizza base tomorrow and shove it in the freezer once I've rolled it out would that be ok? Or is it best to make them fresh? xx

well it went ok, but read it to late whirley i stuffed some flour in so i could get the dough out as it was very sticky, then i stretched it over 2 pizza pan thingies , i didnt leave it to rise norty i just layered some cheese and toms with minced beef chilli garlic mushrooms, then more greated cheese lurvely.
the other one was a bit fishy, it was layered cheese cooked mush in garlic tomatoes prawns and anchovies yummmmmmmmmmmmm

Brill. IIt looks like a great new toy ....its now on my *want* list ...I'd love to do homemade burgers ..

.It's my wedding anniversary tomorrow so I'll shame him into getting me one if he forgets about it (which I'm expecting cos I nearly did lol) xx

that's the one, you put the meat in, stick the lid thing on, press down (there's an in built spring) and you take the burger out.

I ran out of the was discs, so improvised with no stick baking paper stuffy...

I haven't attempted puff pastry yet...I've mastered shortcrust so am sticking with that for a while !!!

anyone can follow a recipe Muffy, and a recipe is only a guideline so if ya feel like adding something extra then why not. When I do my naan bread, when rolling it, I roll in chopped garlic and corriander....

I havent done a quiche for ages, cos OH doesnt like them.......but I did a steak and kidney pie a couple of weeks back...and an extra for the freezer......I use puff pastry..I dont make that...too much of a hard task!!

Well I'm just a novice at the mo Whirls but I totally agree home made is better by far.... I do my own soups, quiches, pies, cakes and now pizzas...

I always said I couldn't cook...but I can (not to a high standard but good enough)....really what I should've been saying is I won't cook..because I lacked the confidence. I've given up on meringues and mayonnaise because they were rubbish lol but other than that I've pretty much sussed all that I've tried so far xx

sounds a succes Muffy. I think once you do these things, you dont buy shop stuff. I dont buy pizza's from the shop (unless an offer is on and i can pop em in the freezer, handy If i'm working late etc). I make my own pasta sauces and curries, pittas and naan breads, and my own burgers, with the help of a niffy little burger maker machine i bought from Lakeland plastics years back..........

Homemade is best, you know what goes into it..

Yep definately better than shop bought. I will be doing them again.

The girls absolutely gulped them down with their salad so I'd say it was a success !!! xx

I think they always taste better Muffy, shop ones have so much salt loaded into them and I am so anti salt.....I always roll mine quite thin cos I prefer thin pizza bread....

My next quest is to make my own pasta, well ravioli, I have a filling for it in mind, I might get a pasta roller.....

Pizzas are looking good.

Haven't a clue if they'll taste as good as they look for about another 20 mins when they're all cooked up.

Made strawberry fairy cakes for the girls pudding as well so I'm all cooked out today.!!! Wish I hadn't started !! lol xxx

actually, i stand corrected, just read my manual for my pizza dough, as follows, (the cycle)

KNEADS for 10 to 15 mins

Rise 10 to 15

Kneads for 10

Rise for 10

end or programme....

Yours will prob be ok in last 10 to 15 mins hun....but it wont "look" risen as such......it'll just be a ball of dough and then you roll it out and leave to rise, before cooking..

I would personally make small meatballs with the chilli and fry them off, then add...just an idea..

If it's only making a dough Puss, it wont rise as such, wait until the programme ends, leave it to sit ofr 10 mins in the pan and then plop it onto a board with flour and roll it in the flour so its easy to handle, then roll it out..then leave it to rise...

it's a dough your making it wont rise as that stage..

this is how im going to do mine, bake the bread drain a can of chopped tomatoes put a thin layer of the tomatoes and spread it all over then add a layer of cheese, fry some mince with chillies and garlic in drain of and spread over speckys side of the pizza add some chopped onion then tomtoe sliced with a cheese toppin, same ish for other side but using prawns anchovies and pineapples cheese and toms, may sound nice but will it go to plan lol dont usually cook these days cause of standing lol xx
