But most newspapers wouldn't bother with a petition.

I feel for James' mother but she has to wait, like everyone else - it's a legal process.

Kat Report 5 Mar 2010 21:49

yes its a legal issue and there is an injunction on newspapers regarding this case. It's irrelevant which newspaper the petition comes from.

"Denise believes the public has a right to know what offence has been committed and what his punishment is to be.Venables was given anonymity because he committed an offence as a child.Denise believes he should lose that anonymity now he has committed an offence as an adult, that was a breach of parole".
Denise has been given no detail about how or when the breach happened.
Another case of the victims not coming into it and the criminals being protected just about sums it up for me.

I agree with what Lynda and Stray have said.

Of course it's a legal issue.I'm sure the Sun grasps it - don't know about people who read it though.

Uggers Report 5 Mar 2010 17:59

I wouldn't sign this. It's not a cover up, it's a legal issue. I don't expect the Sun to grasp that.

Hello Susan

I have thought a lot about my answer and I will answer you truthfully,.Firstly my 10 yr old wouldn’t have been wondering about a city centre at 10yrs of age playing truant because at that age I took my children to school and collected them, if they weren’t in school I had a phone call to ask way. If one of my sons would of committed such a vile act I feel as their mother I would stand by them, and I certainly would protect them from anyone wanting to hurt them for any reason, I would also take a good hard look at my ability as a mother as well, what effect I had had on him to do such a thing. In the cold of day I don’t really know as I have never had to so.

i dont belive for one minute, that if a child heard an adult say a 10 year old shoud be hanged that they would start acting as JV, and RT did

i know my son knows right from wrong and he is 4, he knows not to hurt others, and again if that was my son it was done to, then maybe i would be over the top and want nasty things to happen to them

what they did was absolutly disgusting, yes they were hcildren themselves, but I BELIVE they knw exactly what they were doing, and that to me in itself, is the dangerous thing, he obviously hasnt learnt from his mistakes, and has abused the fact he was givien a second chance, regardless of how "minor" the offence is/was, it was major enough for his freedom to be takign once again

he should have learn the first time he obv never, and thought he was better than the system and now the system is biting back,

I've seen some people (not on here) accusing Denise Bulger of all sorts of horrible stuff...the extremes of either point of view are unpleasant..but I'd say the majority of people are more moderate in their views even if they are strongly held ones x

X Lairy- Fairy Report 5 Mar 2010 08:40

most 10 years old know right from wrong ( well they should anyway ) i have a 10 year old and she knows not to hurt anyone .. if my 10 year old kidknapped and killed a little child . i would die of shame , and my 10 year old would get whatever punishment was coming to them ..

Susan10146857 Report 5 Mar 2010 01:32

For goodness sake...he was a child himself. How many of us have or have had children of the same age. Should we hang children? What does that say about us?

Yes it was a sickeningn act! No-one is saying it wasn''t.!.....but for goodness sake...should we turn into to lynch mobs? We who know nothing of the ins and outs of the case but what we read or hear in the media.......What would you be saying if it were *your* 10 year old!?

Answer me that before you say any more!

Kay????

Kay???? Report 5 Mar 2010 01:20

I dont think in his case or cases,,they are at the end totally protecting these people,,but think it could be a case of protecting some other poor sod becoming a potential murderer if they discovered his ID,,,,,,imagine what a vigilantie group would do to him or RT ,,,,,,,,,then we could end up with another murderer,,,,,,,,who wouldnt hurt a fly under normal circumstances,,,,,,,,

Just one more thought before i hit the sack
why is it that the law protects these people , but i can't take photographs of my grandchildren playing in a public park for fear of being called a pervert or paedophile or whatever new nastie the law comes up with.

I agree that the parents of poor little james bulger should know , but as i think we all know the system in this country protects the wicked and christ knows what a wicked act it was , but it don't deter from the fact that that is the way it will be until new laws are brought in
We spend a lot of tax payers money protecting these animals and before you crucify me that is what they are .
When all said and done the name the crime will all come out in the end as the press etc in this country are like a dog with a bone and won't let go

I can't answer that as I didn't post it.

I echo your words Muffy..
