Sometimes it's what you are left with rather than what you could never give up.

High blood pressure and high cholesterol can tend to force your hand.............

Gave up chocolate, sweeties, crisps, chips, biscuits, full fat and semi skimmed milk, sausages, pies, processed foods, deep fried foods, cheese, salt, sugar, tortilla chips and dips (creamy and otherwise) aagghhh....

On the plus side cholesterol is down to 3.2 from 6.0, blood pressure is back to normal and I've dropped from 14 stone to 12.5 stone and still dropping :)

I would be hard pressed to give up my daily porridge.......no added salt nor sugar............keeps me going all day.

Cheese, the more mature, the better. Even one of the cats loves it in our house.

Bacon ...after much thought ..thats cos it's the 1 food item here that I pay over the odds for and still buy 'proper' bacon. There are a lot of foods I would hate to do without but could give up if needed to.

but not potatoes far too versatile.
