Matthew James was born about 90 minutes ago, at about 9:15 pm UK time.

He's bald, looks as though he will have brown eyes, and weighted about 7½ lbs.

Daughter is delighted with her first born.

He had some breathing problems before eventually making it out, but they managed to avoid a caesarean ........... and he is being very carefully checked out to see why there might have been problems

Me??? I've never ever had anything to do with baby boys before!!


We'll stick to our plan of going over to see them on April 8-19. Mum & Dad will certainly be well into their routine by then!

Yes, a new phase of our life!


Now I'd better get knitting "boy" style!! J didn't want to know the sex, but did want me to knit for her (only NOT pink or blue)

.... I ended up doing one little thing with buttonholes on both borders :))))
