I've been having a lovely afternoon. I found lots of ancestral addresses and then I started wandering around places I like.

I've walked across the causeway to Lindisfarne and up to the castle, I've had a wander around Aberdovey and Tresaith.

And I've just "walked" over the Severn bridge. This could easily become my favourite waste of time.

I've even seen names on some gravestones.

Oh my goodness.I have looked at every house I have lived except for 1 where I lived for a few months as a baby when I was adopted.I think that one must have been knocked down. It's a shame as that was the one I would have loved to have seen.Brilliant isn't it.

Ha Ha!!! the've got the number of my house wrong - and I'm so grateful for the (neatly trimmed in the map) Leyalndii 0 it hides a multitude of junk!
They've also got a couple of lads up to 'no good' outside next door!! LOL

I know our filming was on a Monday (dustbin day), later summer as the Black Eyed Susan is flowering and the front bushes need trimming back from the wall.

It has also reminded me of a large dead branch on a tree in the front. It looks most odd with no leaves when the rest is very green. I will have to get my bow saw out!

I think I've been air- brushed away...
* sigh of relief*

I know the Google car went by last summer when I'd just popped out to the bin after grovelling around sorting cupboards and hunting for something O.H had lost.
I wouldn't want you all to see my baggy-kneed trousers !

I can see me spending alot of time on that site........

Just browsing around and my school's gone! The whole lot's been pulled down and a new housing estate being built. It was only built in the 50s with a second block added in the 70s while I was there.....

That was a shock! LOL

Not sure how I'd feel, but have just been to visit my birthplace in Hampshire. Until Mum died in 2006 it had been lived in since new (1937) by our family.
The front garden looks a mess, but I know the lovely chap who bought it had underground water pipe problems, so I expect it is tidier now..... Bungalow looks cared for....That's nice.

I've also 'visited' Wales this morning.
What memories !

Does anyone know if there is a way to keep a photograph of a place you find, I did it with copy and pasting screen view, but really just wanted the picture, as a save image kind of thing. Thanks

I take it back! i have just 'walked'down the road that I lived in when I was 5...the house is unchanged, except that the front garden is not so neat...but everything else is instantly recognisable :)) it is in Wales and the stream where I paddled and the farm where my friend lived are as i remember, fields and sheep in front and woods behind :))
