Anyone know any famous ones? I only know one, (DT) but we did him today doing a different one tomoz.

Edit there's the one from the poem but that might be same one x

This is a chronological list of highwaymen active in Europe and colonial America from the 16th to 18th century.

Humphrey Kynaston (1474-1534)
James Hind (d. September 24, 1652)
Lady Katherine Ferrers (1634-1660), believed to be the "Wicked Lady"
Claude Duval (1643-1670) - known as 'The Gallant Highwayman'
"Swift Nick" John Nevison (1639-1684) aka "William Nevison"
William Davies (1627-1690), robbed the rich for 40 long years, otherwise known as "Golden Farmer"
Juraj Jánošík (1688-1713), who became legendary in Slovak, Polish, and Czech cultures.
Neesy O'Haughan (d. 1720)
Joseph "Blueskin" Blake (c. 1700-November 11, 1724), English highwayman and former associate of Jack Sheppard and Jonathan Wild
Dick Turpin (c.1705-1739), most well known outlaw of 18th century
William Plunkett and James MacLaine (d. October 3, 1750)
Philip Twysden, Bishop of Raphoe (d. 2 November 1752)
Isaac Darkin (1740 - 1761) alias 'Dumas'. Died at Oxford Castle March 23rd, 1761.
John Rann (d. 1774)
John Austin (d. November 3, 1783), the last person to be publicly hanged from the gallows at Tyburn, London.
Nicolas J. Pelletier (d.1789 ?), the first person executed by guillotine during the French Revolution.
Jerry Abershawe (1773-1795)
Richard "Galloping Dick" Ferguson (d. 1800), an associate of Jerry Abershawe.
Joseph Warshaw (1756-1806)
Willie Brennan (d. 1804)
George Lyons (1761-1815), the last known highwayman to be hanged in Lancashire.
Captain Gallagher (d. 1818)
Mary Bryant (1765 - ?)
The Dunsdon brothers, Tom, Dick and Harry (? - 1784)

Budgie, my english teacher in the Isle of Man used to read it to us with suitable dramatic emphasis and a great sense of tension...I can still hear him :)

Budgie, we had it read to us at school too and even reading that verse then I could feel the hairs rise on the back of my neck. Great poem.
