its a terrible time,
and sadly you still have the funeral to deal with , which is another tuff day,
so for that too i send you my thoughts
to help you thru,

did your mothers mortgage company not have an insurance runing along side in the event of her death,
thats usual isnt it, that that pays off in that case,

Hi, My sincere condollances to you, I think I read a message you posted a few weeks ago regarding your Mum going into a home and although I didn't post at the time I did sympathise as we had been through the same when my Father in law had to go into a home at the same time. Sadly he too lost his battle on the 26th March, the funeral is this Fri. He did leave a will but it wasn't at all what his 4 kids expected and they all feel very sad about his last wishes-won't go into detail-

Thats all I can say, my thoughts are with you in the coming weeks and months as you sort things out which is not an easy job, you have my sympathy and you are in my thoughts. Be strong, x

Claire,
I am sorry to hear that you have lost your Mum, I know you have had problems in the past but it did seem as if things were sorted. However, she is now at peace. I am sure that if you contact the mortgage people they will hold it until you sell the house so that you don't have to find the cash for the mortgage. They will also give you time I am sure to do things to the house to make it more saleable.

thinking of you as you battle your way through the next stage. as somebody has said. Take time for yourself.

So sorry to hear of your loss. my Mother died 5 years ago and my Dad in Feb this year.
I am still trying to sort out the mess!
You are in my thoughts. Please try and take the advice given to me by a friend who had similar problems and try and make a bit of time for yourself.
I have found the support from this site of great help.
It helps to know there are people who care about you in this difficult time.

When my father died in 1970, there was a council workmans strike, and the crematorium was 2 weeks behind schedule.

I dont have the time or energy to reply to each of you individually at the moment but please accept this as my genuine thanks to all who have sent me kind words and messages and for those in particular who have supported me over the past few months.

It is a difficult time trying to sort out all mother affairs and keep my own affairs in order but hopefully mothers house will be finally sorted after our next trip down to Norfolk and then we will turn out attention to the financial matters. The Funeral is not until the 23rd April as there is a 3 week wait for the crematorium you cant even escape waiting list when you die LOL!

Hopefully getting things sorted out will dull the edge of the grief as it will keep you so busy. My prayers are with you.

Hi Claire,

I did write a message earlier but the computer crashed and I had to go out so no time to rewrite.

I am sorry your Mother didn't enjoy the comforts of the nursing home for long but I am glad you and your sister got to see her before she died and also that she was comfortable and clean before the end and was with people and not alone, as might have happened had she still been at home.
I know you have already broken the back of sorting the house which is one less thing to worry about at such a difficult time and I hope everything works out to be less hassle than you expect. You should be able to freeze the mortgage till the house is sold, if you contact the building society, and that will give you a breathing space, and I hope arranging the funeral is easier because you have your Mother's wishes written down.

May your Mother rest in peace now, she was obviously a troubled soul but she did produce you and your sister and you have made good lives for yourselves and have been many things to others.

Take care and will be thinking about you,

Lizxx
