It's a Fact in my case anyway. My main squeeze as I like to
call him is one in a million. We have been together 53 years
and will be married 50 years in August. We met when we were 15
and I wouldn't change a thing. Emma.x

Aw Emma, that is lovely.... I met my hubby when I was 15, too... he was 16, almost 17... took a year before we became an item, lol... So 1960 was a good year for marrying, too..... another lovely member on the boards celebrates her 50th this year.

Happy anniversary Daff. Do I read that as being your golden one? You mentioned 1960.

Edit: Ooops, just seen on chat that it is only your 38th anniversary. I misunderstood your comment on 1960.

Phil and I were well suited. Partners in all ways. The only time he hit me (on the head with a hammer!) it was my fault. I made the mistake of bobbing up behind him just as he was taking a swing at a nail.

MrDaff Report 1 Apr 2010 20:30

Huia, thank you, and no.... it is 38 years for us, but there are a couple of lovely GR members who have golden anniversaries this year... so 1960 must have been a good year, as well as 1972... there are at least three of us with a 38th this year.... well, 4 if you include RB as well as LWD, lol and at least 3 with a Golden anniversary this year.

(((((((hugs))))))) for you. It must be so difficult.

Thanks for the hugs Daff. I have just edited my post above yours, was doing it while you were posting. Our anniversary was 51 yrs last month, but it seemed a bit meaningless without Phil at home. But we had 50 wonderful years.
