I dont know what goes oooooo

Going away on the 6th Feb until 27th for three weeks of all inclusive indulgence.
The sixies was certainly my era and I still love the music. Hubby is playing with his new phone which he bought today. Seems to do all sorts of things. Have to say that I like a telephone to be a telephone not a minature box of tricks but guess I am being that O** F**t

7.09pm
I've a feeling you are going to tell us MEL,
The reason we can remember the oldies is they had a tune, where as today it's just a din.

Anne, I hope your OH is chasing feathered birds, and not the man eating type !!!!

We had one of Ros's chicken curry's tonight, so I didn't have to cook.

* Mel *

Did you have platform boots? Mine were bright blue and I used to fall off them regularily. Had loads of minis and then maxis. Look at some of the photos now and I look like a disaster area ( maybe I still do )
The best thing was a maxi coat which I wish I still had. I wore it endlessly and it never wore out. Eventually I chopped the bottom off and made it knee length and it was never the same somehow.
Those were the days my friend etc etc

What an interesting Job Anne. You say a national company.I take it ,it is just in GB?Is a moth trap to see how many different types of moths?I ask that as I think I saw a programme a while ago about how many different moths we have in this country.I think it was a couple of hundred or some such number.
Actually now I think about it ,it wasn't a programme ,it was in a book I was reading.
See what I mean about the memory lolol

Mel was a Greaser. She liked her leathers lol
I was better in a midi rather than a maxi .I am a short a***e.I had a stunning pair of platform slingbacks in brown and orange I remember the shiny coating peeling off,and being gutted.

Do we have your Email address Anne? we all share photos and Franks Jokes!!!!.

Anne

Anne Report 18 Jan 2011 19:41

Jane Yes you set up a special light in a box thingy full of egg cartons. The moths are attracted to the light and fall into the trap where they hide in the egg boxes and go to sleep until you disturb them the next day.
There are more than 200 species in this country but last night they were not flying as they need a certain amount of warmth.
The moth trap is a new venture for us and we hope to use it once a month just to see what is around in our area.
Hubby works for a company called Naturetrek and he goes all over the world chasing feathered birds etc. ( Honestly Frank )
Birdwatching was a hobby until he retired but now its a full time occupation along with butterflies and now moths

Mel, Don't give up your day job !!!!

Anne, that must be a very interesting job you OH has, from a hobby to full employment in something you love, must be very rewarding. He should come and live here. ROS is frightened to death of them, In the summer I have the job of catching them and putting them back outside. Some of them are so beautiful.

Jane do you mean Mel was a "ROCKER" that was the motorbike lot. The "MODS" had Vespa's (scooters) If you had been around then, there was always gatherings on the sea front at Brighton, Southend, and generally a good old punchup afterwards. I was such a good boy I would never get involved !!! just looked on. and waited for the police to arrive.

I hope I get a good nights sleep tonight, being out in all that fresh air, and no nap this afternoon/evening, I should be tired.

Liz, please try to think positive, regarding hubby. You know we are all rooting for you both. I am always around if you need to let off steam.

I spoke with my brother today, still got this infection, and sounds to me that he is starting to give up. He has had this problem for two years, and has undergone three major operations. His own GP has been no help and has ignored three requests to call and see him in the past week. He is back to hospital tomorrow so will talk to his specialist, and see what he can do. TO MAKE HIM VISIT. He has been given nine new tablets to take, and was instructed by the hospital to contact his GP for him to come and explain the tablets to him in detail and what effects they may have on him..

Jane

Jane Report 18 Jan 2011 21:40

Frank ,Yes I think I mean 'Rocker" ,but weren't Greasers the same or was that what we said in Plymouth?.
I am sorry your Brother's GP has not been to see him. That doesn't sound good to me.Poor chap sounds very down.
M....ooooooooooo Mel lol

The Brisket was 'ansome.Enough left for tomorrow.I think I will do Jacket pots with it.
Must let Chester out ,he is pestering.

Book Of Ely a strangely moving film. Both thoroughly enjoyed it. Denzil Washington very good, bit of bad language at one point but not too bad.
I remember mods and rockers but only involved with them professionally in another life.
A quick look at the news then off to bed.
Night everyone
