Margaret i remember Effle Tower Lemonade Crystals and I think they came in Orange too. The Lemon were best. You made it up to about a pint and then diluted it to taste. It came in a glass jar.

Hi All
damp and cold today. OH and I were at the garden centre this afternoon , bought some Geraniums & pansies to plant in the troughs in my front porch,
Red. Yellow, & Pink pansies, and red and white Geraniums, look really bright.

I think I need to pass on the pumpkin competition , Scotland isn't the best of climates to grow pumpkins,, Our sunflowers were useless last year.
Now if you had said potatoes , that would be ok.
unfortunatly we don't have a green house either.

I love prawns, OH makes a great fish pie, with white fish, salmon and prawns, chopped egg in a white sauce and topps it off with Mash potato then grated cheese, my lot love it.

The pond takes about three days to fill Jane. We don't leave it running in overnight, and you can imagine that the well in about 25 foot deep so the pump has to work hard to to bring water to the surface let alone right across the whole front garden and half of the center garden.

I always get 3-4 valentines from OH ever since I met him 20 years ago!! lol He gets serious and funny ones.........told him there was no need to send so many especially now we are retired and they are so expensive, but he didn't listen.

Frank, my back gardens still in progress so I wouldn't know where to put a pumpkin yet, so I better not join in this year.......could have done a sunflower though. lol

Frank do you mean the Red Lion or the Woolpack? The Red Lion on the main Rd is still there but has changed hands so many times over the last number of years.I hardly ever go there.The Woolpack over in the other half of Cranford shut quite a few years ago and is now a house.Shame really as it looked a real old world type of pub.

It is quite chilly out there.The sun is a bit deceptive.I got a couple of pics this morning of another squirrel right outside the kitchen window,and a Red Kite again in a tree on the other side of the field.

I'm going to watch Doctors now and have a coffee.

Hi Jane , Thats not Cranford in Northants is it . I'm in Raunds , but an outsider ,I'm from Totternhoe in Beds , but have spent a good few years in Ilfracombe, & Hatherleigh in devon, only been her 4 yrs , &want to move back .
