Afternoon All,

Well we had a sunny start, but as soon as we went out down came the rain! Stopped now but dull and damp. More leaves down off the cordylines.....one is nearly just stumps of branch now.

OH was at Leamington yesterday as his usual team are playing today instead of yesterday. We went for an early lunch but both ended up fancying just sandwiches with a salad garnish.......maybe we shouldn't have had choccie last night. lol

No wonder you felt rough Mandy!! That was what OH had 3 years ago. Don't go overdoing things and expect to tire easily in the weeks to come. OH had to go back for an xray after 6 weeks to make sure it was clearing up..... Might be worth asking your GP if you can have the Pneumonia vaccine if you get any more bad chest infections.

South Riding tonight.......looking forward to that.

Don't fight the sleep Mandy ....It is what your body needs to help recuperate.Just rest and gentle excercise (sp) like walking to the kettle to switch it on for a cuppa or letting Toby out for Wee's,and things like that.
As for cooking ,I would suggest you get your DIL and Son to bring you round some nice meals lolol. You feed them often enough!!!.Us Mums do tend to try and soldier on ,but then we need looking after sometimes too lol

I do have to go back in six weeks for another chest Xray Ann, and i'am going to make sure i have a Flu jab and the Pneumonia one too, i certainly don't want to feel like this again .

We have been having easy meals ,although i haven't been fancying much to eat , hubby's not the greatest cook ,but he has been trying bless him.

Been trying to do more research on my Ancestor who died in Canada.
By the way Shirl thanks for confirming what 50 canadian dollars are, I am not sure what to do, about getting his death cert. looked on the webb site where the index is and it says it will be a copy of death details excluding cause of death, (Geneology purposes only)
Thats really what I wanted to know, I know his next of kin, mind you knowing his address in Canada would be good. I think i'm bit reluctant because I have never spent £31 on getting a Death Cert before
He is my 2 cousin 3x removed so maybe things would be different if he was closer.

Here I am. Had a bit of trouble getting online but here at last.

It is good your feeling a little better Mandy.

Don't you only have to have the pheumonia injection once??

I seem to remember mum havigng it and I think I have had it.

Jane you should be able to tell us that from chris.

We had homemade soup for lunch again today, what was left from yesterday and I added toit to make it go round. OH always likes to have two HUGE mugs full and his mug is BIG.

We are having Chicken soup tonight with lots of veg and pasta.

The sun has come out but we have an awful freezing wind here today and I want to go and clean the hens out!! Can't quite fce the wind......................

I would save your money Fiona after all he is gone and is just another rellies name on your tree now.

I have never bought a marriage, death or birth cert. for my tree but have been given them passed on from other rellies who bought them. So I have been very lucky.

I had Pnuemonia twice as a child Mandy and then got bad chest infections in my 40s/50s....only ever with a dry cough and raw tingling windpipe but I would be ill enough to want to stay in bed. The doc told me to have the Pnuemonia vaccine and flu jabs when I asked what I could do to help things, so I did and I've had a flu jab ever since. OH even got flu jabs so he didn't pass things on as he had seen how ill I would be. Since then I've been much better. These things don't give 100% protection, but help. Glad you mentioned about repeat ones for Pneumonia Jane ............. I must be due another.

Think I will put the heating on it's going chilly now. We have an early start tomorrow as my car is in for service and I'm taking it back to Rugby for this one. Hope there's no unexpected expense!! OH broke the iron yesterday, but it was over 10 years old so we can't complain.

Done the big girls so they are nice and clean now. Trouble is when it is so wet and muddy utside their house they go in to lay an agg and tread all over other eggs and make them muddy.

Looking forward to South Riding.................goody goody.

That is if OH isn't wanting to watch something else!! Then I shall have to wait.......................................

Shut the girls all in for the night and Robby was in their run so I threw him and his wife a few fat pellets for supper.
