Purple, she was here this morning after a poor nights hunting I think as she ate two dishes of meat and one of milk! She sits inside the kitchen door and my OH sits and talks to her, not me as I am still in the process of getting up! |

Great news, I love a happy ending. How is their Mum getting on - is she still around your place? |

Just heard from the Cats protection at Forest of dean. The kittens are all well and are ready to go to new homes. The little boys are quite domesticated, but the two girls are not, so will be looking for homes on a smallholding or farm. They can be seen on The Forest of dean cats protection website, the black and white ones. Easy to work out which they are as the girls are together and the boys are mentioned as brothers. |

Have phoned the Cats protection lady to see how the kittens are getting on. There were three male and two female and all were of sufficient weight to be neutered, so have been done. They are in a hospital cage and are becoming a bit more handleable, so the hopes that they can be domesticated are high. |

Jean, I hope the female cat settles down soon and is ok with you all. Strange how things work out really, I know you will miss your old cat immensely but having the female cat to keep an eye on after her op etc and seeing her settle will keep you busy won't it? |

Mum has had her op and is back with us, frantically searching for her kittens. I feel so sorry for her, but it had to be done. |

Yes, Purple, if she wants she will become our 'outdoor' cat. I dont think Lizzie will let her come and be an indoor one. Looks like our old boy will probably not last the night, he is very much in a kind of stupor and refusing food and drink. He is nearly nineteen, so cant expect him to go on for ever. |

What a happy ending to the story, I hope Mother cat settles back in your area safe from having to go through any more pregnancies, and she has a happy life. Will you still feed her if she hangs around Jean? |

Update on cat and kittens. The cats protection have been here today and managed to catch the whole family, Kittens will be trained and found homes and Mum has her neutering done tomorrow and will be returned to this area, unable to have more kittens. Great result, Jean |

Well, the problem has faded away! Mum and kittens were gone this morning and they have been seen in the oil-seed rape in the nearby field. Mumobviously didnt like the number of people here yesterday. She turned up on her own at 1pm, and had a bite to eat, and then this evening while our cats were sleeping we managed to entice her inside the kitchen door for some food and drink. I have to close my mind to worrying about the kittens, she obviously feels they can manage. |

Well, the ladies came at lunchtime and spent over two hours trying to entice her out from her hiding place. Unfortunately she has taught the kittens to hide at the approach of a human. We keep trying to get near her and she will sit beside us on the windowsill, but put a hand out and she's gone. The kittens come out for food, but not until we arewell away from the plates. The catching cage has been left with us to try her tomorrow morning when she will be hungrier. If caught she will only be away the day as they do not keep them in long and release them near their base. We are happy for that to happen, but we do need the kittens to go, adorable as they are! |

Are the kittens wild or able to be picked up and stroked, cos if so maybe you could advertise them on Gumtree, lots of people sell or give away pets on there. |
