A new report has now come in stating the police shot Moat with a taser before he fired his own weapon, it has also be stated there were sound of a man in crying in pain before any bullets were fired. Northumbrian police have refused to comment and the matter has now gone to IPCC. An ambulance was not called for Moat until half an hour had elapsed. |

The police fired a taser but nothing has been officially disclosed if it was fired before or after Moat shot himself. |

Wrong, read different news online they are all just getting the news in about this, and taser experts are saying that a taser gun fired at a victim makes that victim make 'involuntary' movements, as in a finger jolt and his gun went off. |

Paramedics and ambulance have been on standby NEAR the scene throughout and called TO the scene as soon as he was discovered... no calling for one required. Maybe another was needed elsewhere... who knows. |

Oh... and it is automatic that a report is sent to the IPCC... it is done as a matter of course these days.... I thought we all knew that? |

As I understood it from watching last night, the taser was not used up to that point ( though they were available) because he was lying down...both 'prongs' |

I think the police as always did a wonderful job, he shot himself he had over 6 hours to surrender , in my opinion the police are in no way responsible for that mans dealth. |

Agree with Soft as, it was inevitable, and as Hayley states the police could have done no more. Just sorry for his children, but they are probably better off without a father like that. |

There is a big difference in pulling a trigger yourself and being forced to do it by a taser gun shooting through you! |

well i think they did the right thing, it was obvios he wasnt gona just come in quietly and he was a threat tot he police and the public for 7 days lets not forget his victims, even if they did tazer him caursing him to kill himself, if HE hadnt put himself in that situation and been a murdering criminal they wouldnt have been there with tazers or guns to reprimand him xxx |

His finger was on the trigger - he pulled it & killed himself - his choice as it was his choice to hold the gun to his head / neck. |

I thought if the taser was fired wouldnt it be to shock him to knock teh gun out of his hands? |

Hayley I thought that also that the taser would have paralized him, could a reaction have pulled the trigger. who really cares. So better he shot himself as he did |
