YES ROSE....... an us and us problem.

I am not really interested in what any one USED to do.
We all have a history to be ashamed of in one way or another, but this is 2010 and we are supposed to be 'Civilized' human beings.
We have enough faults.
Marrying off our little girls is dreadful.
And lets be clear here.... they are OUR little girls. One World..

again adding after Golden Girl, it is nothing to do with religion/ faith and all to do with control...

and please don't forget this country had similar practices until relatively recently...'we' have 'moved on' ( somewhat) and must now make sure other nations see that is the only way forward as part of a 'modern world'.

I don't see it as a 'them and us' problem it is an 'us and us' situation which has to be resolved for the good of all.

IMO It's nothing to do with religion, not in the sense of 'following God's law' , it is down to the twisted human interpretation of words in books in order to keep the status quo of dominance and control, a society where the few have control of the many, where the individual counts for nothing.

That has nothing to do with God, in my understanding of God, and certainly if you believe in Christ at all, or any of the prophets of other religions come to that it is always the individual as part of the whole that matters.

It is man and man alone to blame.

I received an e-mail from a friend in Spain yesterday.
I felt sick to my stomach, God help these little girls.

450 Grooms Wed GIRLS UNDER TEN in Gaza.

Most grooms were in their MID to LATE Twenties.
Most brides were UNDER TEN.

And this is in the name of the God most religions worship. Makes you wonder, don`t it????????????

I am so disgusted by this.
I am also disgusted by the idea that my opinion is an interference into someone else's Religion and that I 'don't understand.' D**n right I don't understand. I would be very worried about anyone who DID understand.

This is a dreadful tale of injustice.
Throw me into the same situation and I will admit to ANYTHING YOU WANT to accuse me of!

The lawyer who publicised this case to the west has fled his home and been given asylum in Norway, his wife and family still remain in Iran........

Brave man, I hope his family will be allowed to join him, and that Iran is not allowed to forget that the world will be watching.

I watched a vidio (not very clear) of 2 women being stoned to death, went on for ages, must add men were doing this. Made me feel anger, frustration, sick, helpless, and disgust for rest of day, all in the name of religion.
