So their fault, not yours :-)

Glad it is sorted out :-)

Just uploaded the gedcom, took a bit of sorting by the two of us. Windows 7 doesn't always do things as youy expect it to. Anyway, thank you to everyone for the help.

Glad it was a simple thing and is over with now.

This really didn't occur to me but probably should have. I always use a capital for my password and this is how it is when I log on. However an e mail from support gave me the password to use and it has a small letter to start. And that was all the problem was.

Suppose they all went home at tea time as I didn't hear any more.

Thanks Joy. Mine says Anninglos in Glos. which seems a bit strange to me.

Well that is another message sent to genes.

Thanks Gill, I think I will have to go back to Genes again.

Yes it does on here

re-booted that didn't make a difference.

Can somebody check. When I go to my account or Gedcom it tells me I am currently logged on as anninglos in Glos. If you go to your account (before you input your password) does it say your name and surname?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 21 Jul 2010 16:50

No Gill I haven't. I can try I suppose. Thanks.

Have you tried re booting

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 21 Jul 2010 16:35

Tried that, same result. Strange, it let me sign in to actually get into Genes but then wouldn't let me use the same password that I had signed in with to get into gedcom.

I've got both, I'll try them. Thanks

Ann, or even Google Chrome, I have never had a problem with it. Good luck! BC XX

Clutching at straws.
Can you try a different browser such as IE8?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 21 Jul 2010 16:11

I have spent hours on this, as if I have time to waste!!! See my password thread for the saga. I have re-loaded my browser because they say they are showing that I don't have the latest, I did Firefox 3.6.7 but I have re-loaded it just to be sure.
When I try to go into my account or into gedcom it says welcome anninglos in Glos.. I am wondering if that is what is doing it and have asked Genes. I have even gone via the forgotten password route, only to be told my password is the one I have been using all along. I don't know what to do now.
