The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500

Most likely causes:
 The website is under maintenance.
 The website has a programming error.

And while I have had brief interludes of inbox access, today I get the error message again.

Yes, blame me! I caught a bug and spread it around.

What other explanation can there be for some having it happen and some not?? Post in a thread where I post, and you catch it. ;)

Oh, I know there's an explanation for why some have it and some don't -- It Is Our Fault. We who cannot access our inboxes are the particularly stupid element of the GR population ... even though that does seem counter-intuitive, from the reports so far. If the great fault-finder spots this thread I'm sure he will explain it to us. Although, hmm, in Ann of glos's thread on General where I noted my problem, and asked for his diagnosis, he seems to have been speechless. ;)

Oh, a tip.

I knew from my real email who had PMed me, so I was able to open my contacts list, found the person, clicked on her name, got the list of PMs exchanged between us, and was able to read the new ones.

Janey

you know it is not our fault

it is our BROWSER's fault

or alternatively, our SEARCH ENGINE's fault

or possibly our SERVICE PROVIDER's fault

so you need to take it up with them

the fact that very few of us will have the same browser / search engine / service provider has never seemed to register with the powers-that-be!

:)))))))))

Here's an interesting thing.

I used the drop-down menu from Messages to go to Inbox.
Error message appears.

I went to a Sent Messages folder page I had open already in another tab and clicked on Inbox.
Inbox appears.

A possible work-around?

- edit - Nope, a fluke. I reloaded the page with the Error message and got my Inbox ...

On a side note, my PM to "Genes" (Genes Support Team) re the stickied post with the wrong line showing in the Chat list has still not been opened.
