Hi everyone, am new to this and have managed some success tracing back. Was wondering is there any other way to trace back from a great grandparent to their parents without having to view a birth/death certificate?I have gone back on my mums side but no one alive has much information and i didnt realise that the bmd only hold a record of the event and not the means to trace back from it.Hope that makes sense and hope someone is able to help me |

Hi Emma. There are several things that might help, some parish records are online, like the baptisms, marriages and deaths for London on Ancestry . Also FamilySearch can be very useful, Also the census of course. |
