use of 'hidden'....

Member Since: January 2006 Posts: 32 Send Message	has anybody noticed that there has been a huge increase in the use of 'hidden' which, I thought, was intended to protect living relatives instead of those who died 100-150 years ago or, if you don't want to share your info, then what are you doing anyway. another gripe is that after finding a possible link via the 'search trees' facility then many, many messages are opened and not commented on or just ignored....why??? found an error in the tree of one of those who did reply and offered to make available a photo of that relative with some of her family which was declined so assume the accuracy as less important than the established tree. inherited a number of photos of one of our family links and yet again the messages have been opened ....zilch!!! regards

Member Since: August 2009 Posts: 771 Send Message	I know that I'm guilty of not having dates of death for some relatives who would now be 150 or more years old if still alive. This means that some of my relatives will be showing as living and therefore "hidden". I'm trying to work my way through them and put in a speculative date of death (usually based on 100 years after birth)
