No it's not the 1901 Dorothy she died as a baby

Rambling

Rambling Report 26 Aug 2010 13:54

Someone might be able to find that Dorothy on the 1911 for you and see who she is with, I don't have a subscription to that I'm afraid.

Rambling

Rambling Report 26 Aug 2010 13:52

there is one other option for a birth of a Dorothy ...in 1901 which might mean Margaret was little when Dorothy married, but unfortunately before 1911 it doesn't give the mothers maiden name...

Rambling

Rambling Report 26 Aug 2010 13:45

I don't know because this Dorothy was only born 3 years before margaret?

Sally

If you go to that web address for ordering certificates and order Margaret and Leo's marriage , the form is very easy , you will need the volume and page number below , and the registration district (Tonbridge) I would start with that to confirm the name of Margaret's father. It will cost £9.25

Name: Margaret Fuller
Spouse Surname: Cook
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1943
Registration district: Tonbridge
Registration county (inferred): Kent
Volume Number: 2a
Page Number: 2270

Sally

Sally Report 26 Aug 2010 13:04

is pattenden surname of poss mum do you think ?and are any of the sisters called a name like doris or dorothy ??? my uncle gets confused and cant remember if the dorothy doris lady was a real aunt or not lol. also wat is this other web thing and wat do i do . so sorry love really am dim on here .

Rambling Report 26 Aug 2010 12:57

I think you will have to get the marriage cert to be sure of Margaret's father's name you can order online at

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp

If it is the Pattenden marriage, there are 3 possible sisters and a brother born between 1912 and 1923 so that does look a possible

Sally

Sally Report 26 Aug 2010 12:49

all i no is that it was april may june 43 tonbridge kent sory no cert as yet

Rambling

Rambling Report 26 Aug 2010 12:44

No worries Sally, it's confusing how ever long you've been doing it :))

Do you have the marriage cert for Margaret and Leo? just asking as it will have the father's name on...I know you know it's Frederick, but he may have used his second name and been christened something else for his first.
