I still watch re runs of The Forsyth Saga (not the original one) and it is very watchable. I think it is Damien Lewis as Soames. and he plays the part so well I almost feel sorry for him! BC XX

The series of Heartbeat on at the moment is the last one.

I guess we will get repeats, repeats and more repeats and 'reality shows' cooking gardening X Factor BB etc because they are cheaper to make.
I was reading yesterday something about the fact that the viewing public have got so used to the instant excitement of reality shows that they don't have the patience to watch drama where the excitement unfolds slowly and gradually.

Remember all the good plays they used to put on? I for one am sick of all the cooking and other reality shows. I do watch the soaps but only because there is no other 'drama' on.

i love heartbeat and watch it every sun eve on stv, didnt know it was going, this is a new series i think. can you not get it down south?

will miss the bill though, remember it when it first started. di burnside is a personal friend of my dads and nearly came to my wedding, but was double booked lol. now that would have been something to talk about in years to come eh.

its sad though when good programmes with high ratings have to go. why dont they ask the public what we would like to watch. theres plenty of rubbish they could get rid of im sure.

Sad that that was the last episode isn't it? I didn't always watch it these days although did at first. I thought tonights was very good and I did like his speech about the word 'respect' so true.

Poor you-s. And with Heartbeat gone now too.

We got The Bill for a very brief period here in Canada some years ago. Maybe now that it's over it will be cheaper for syndication, and BBC Canada might spring for reruns ... instead of the same four episodes of Build a New Life in the Country that it has been running twice-weekly all summer ...

I THINK ITS SO SAD SOBS TO BC
NOT THAT ITS A FANTASTIC SHOW
BUT IT IS WATCHABLE ON A WINTERS NIGHT

i did like it at the beginning when DC roach
has ladies coming out of his ears

and Sargent Lynch was very kind and wise

Will they evr admit their mistake? It was one of the few adult programmes that didnt make you feel embarrased to be in the same room as anyone vulnerable. Consistently watchable and holding the interest, not over the top. If there is a bring back appeal I will sign, twice!
