Another gripe following on from not wanting to disclose my email address was, receiving 3 identical A5 envelopes addressed to me with 3 different spellings of my surname suggesting that I should have gone to ***** to buy the car that I had already ordered. Told the salesman it was a good job that I had bought it otherwise I would have got 4 A 5 envelopes addressed to me. Two days later after I had taken possession of the said car, I received a 4th envelope, with a 4th different spelling of my surname, together with 2 postcards telling me there were some good second hand cars for sale,...... must have been trying to sell me my old car back.- Obviously sorting that out must be a' man thing' - JLe

I have now sent an email to F**t but will be surprised if I receive a reply.

Beverley, you should have said to the Salesman, Obviously you don,t want to sell me a car so I go elsewhere and find some-one who does,Goodbye.The transformation would have been miraculous.then you could have given him the "Saxon Salute" and walked out. **M**.

Yes Merlin. I was on the verge of doing that (slow fuse then stand back, that's me) when he suddenly seemed to realise what he was doing. Maybe he saw the steam coming out of my ears. I made it very clear I wouldn't be buying a car from him though.

As Sue said most car salesmen sell to the man and let the little lady choose the colour.lol
We've usually chosen the car and and generally the colour before we go to buy: but yes I always have the choice of colour and usually the car.lol
We used to have Fords for yrs, but I went off them one yr ,I found the seats hard,so we went to a Vauxhall dealer, without any preconceived ideas and hubby spotted a sporty Astra with all the extras, only one colour and I loved it, but we bought it from a different dealership cos we had a much better deal.
When that was3 yrs old we just browsing and they tried to sell hubby a Vectra ,quite nice, but I didn't like it so no sale. I did fancy one in the showroom tho, and they could see hubby was a bit interested, but we weren't really looking to change the car ( we only had one then ),
but they kept phoning , I always said hubby wasn't at home even if he was ! They were obviously looking for their quota of sales that month and eventually dropped their price by £5K..an offer hubby couldn't refuse.lol.
I even choose the choice of colour of my dau's car.. I have good taste as to what colour suits the car:)
Although this little lady always has her choice of colour They never get one over on me, speak over my head , to my hubby or whomever I just ignore them and have what I want.
It's a pleasure to see them grimace when they fail to sell you what they want to rather than what you want:))... Sorry Sue:)

I have just received a reply from F**t and, surprise, surprise their reply in now way responded to any aspect of my complaint regarding the advert.

Beverley, for an added bit of fun, You could have told them you were also interested in looking for a "Ferarri" Thats a Fiat, albiet a rather expensive one. Me I prefer Jaguar,had them for years,as long as you keep them serviced properly you get no problems, apart from wear and tare.Take Care. **M**.
