this board?

We all know it's quiet so what would get you posting? More genealogy, more 'general' interest, debates, jokey threads, what do you read elsewhere that just isn't here or is handled better elsewhere ?

Debates .. loads of sensible debates about all and everything that affects people living today.. .
I know this is a genealogy site but that doesn't mean we have to live soley in the past all of the time....

Nice to see you posting Rose

I agree more debates but I don't like it when there are personal attacks when others don't agree as I find it detracts from the arguments.

Nothing wrong with a good debate. We have had some good ones in the past (until they are ruined) by somebody who just likes to put a spanner in the works.

SRS I could do one on the merits of different pillows lol ? I have foam ones and not keen on them, I used to like feather but of course that means dead ducks, or geese .

I agree debates are good as long as everyone respects everyone elses points of view and it doesn't turn into a slanging match as it has done in the past

Lets have a debate about the Tax man
Where did the Tax office go wrong ?
Who now has to pay money back ?

Mel you should start a History thread and choose a person a week. I was watching the man in the iron mask today and thought that I really should read up on Louis X1V as i've forgotten most that i knew.

Hi Red, have done a few, Henry VII, Alfred the Great, Oliver Cromwell, Richard II - mainly kings and queens I usually don't get much response, but someone else might. Love the man in the Iron mask as well as the three musketeers and the prince and the pauper etc.

Personally, I would like to see a lot more serious stuff, like, is haemorroid cream good for wrinkles, should old ladies dye their hair orange, at what age is it indecent to have a stud muffin, is reading Proust depressing, a wave thread for whomever I like and a raspberry thread for those I don't. In my opinion:-))) BC XX
