I've seen him in a number of old shows - you're right he hasn't changed much. Never had movie star good looks:-))

oh my Nan used to watch that. Is he a heart throb? (or whatever the terminalogy these days)

Rambling Report 26 Sep 2010 22:51

errr no ! lol, but he is quite sweet in his own way...perhaps just a little dull for some but then there is a certain attraction in 'constancy' I think? ( the character that is, can't speak for the actor lol)

I take it you don't watch Footie? I don't watch the soaps much these days, but look in from time to time.

well it's coming up to 50 years its been going, so even before we had a TV lol , but I do remember 'back in the day' when Ena,Minnie and Martha used to sit with their glass of stout in the snug lol...a different world it was.

FootieAngel Report 26 Sep 2010 23:02

I did see a drama about it on iplayer. The road to coronation street I think it was called. I recognised some of the names from when Nan used to watch.

Yes I missed that Footie, will maybe watch it though. Jessie Wallace as Elsie Tanner, and now back in Eastenders lol, I 'have' to watch that from time to time as it's keeping my brother in work lol..they were putting up the Albert Square Christmas tree on set last weekend, soon be spring!

Just out of curiosity Footie - why not have a telly if you watch stuff on iplayer anyway. Didn't you put up a thread about a new drama?

I suppose I probably watch less tv than I used to, but I would miss it if I didn't have one...for things like QI and property programmes ( I'm nosy), history stuff, and some of the old favourites that are repeated... I wallow a bit in Monarch of the Glen at the moment, nice and 'comfortable' with stunning scenery :)

I have my favourites - cooking programmes, history, some crime shows and Corrie.

I did Suemaid and Im about halfway through watching it now. We have a TV downstairs but I don't get to watch it. We have 3 teens and its not easy to get TV and the Tv in my room is DVD player so I rely on iplayer.
