At the biginning of this month I ordered a copy of my daughters birth cert. Daughter has started college and needs her birth cert so she can apply for EMA. Estimated delivery was 28th Sep.

I received an e-mail from them today, informing me that they can find no trace of her birth and they have refunded account accordingly. "Strange" I thought because Kemp found it for me on 4th Sep.

I rang the number on e-mail, explained the situation to a lovely, helpful lady who found the registration as quickly as Kemp.

The upshot is that she is putting in a complaint and sending the cert priority, completely free of charge. That is what I call good customer service :))

Well Libby I hope I found the right one ...which I,m sure I did as your daughters name is t5wo names stuck together ( being a bit secret here) and I split the name and then thought NO Libby said its together so I did it again and got what I sent to you .......

I have had this my self but with one from 1850 and when I rang they were very helpful......

Just a thought I did ring my local office 25 miles away when I couldnt find my sons birth certificate and they did them for me without the numbers just the date of birth
Good luck Libby

Oops. Take it back.

Another e-mail on Tuesday - need to re-order. Followed by a phone call from me explaining the situation. Their reply was ok re -order and it will only take 2 to 3 weeks instead of 3 to 4 weeks because it was our fault.

Phoned the local register office - send details with chq for £9 plus sae and we will send within 3 to 4 days. Wish I had done this in the first place, especially as my son was there last week !! - would probably had it by now.
