well i can confirm today that the saying, spiders dont like conkers is a MYTH,

we took the littun conkering, it was his first time "awwww",

anyways, as i stepped out of the car, in my flip flops,

" conkering in the woods in flip fops isnt a good idea by the way"

and the biggest spider i have ever seen ran towards my foot, surrounded by hundreds of conkers on the floor and conker trees, i litrally screamed and ran,

so there you have it mr incy wincy, surrounded by conkers and conker trees, and he tryed to savage little old me lololol,

Stray, you have to drill a hole through the conker, put a piece of string through it,tie a knot in it so it does,nt fall off, then hit the spiders on the head with it, **M**.:o)))))>

Beware !!!!!

New spider found in United States killing several people.....

( Its White........Photo came with a e-mail to me ,but wont let it print on here).

Spider bite... please read...........

And you thought the brown recluse was bad!!!

Three women in North Florida , turned up at hospitals over a 5-day period, all with the same symptoms. Fever, chills, and vomiting, followed by muscular collapse, paralysis, and finally, death.

There were no outward signs of trauma.

Autopsy results showed toxicity in the blood.

These women did not know each other, and seemed to have nothing in common.

It was discovered, however, that they had all visited the same Restaurant (Olive Garden) within days of their deaths.

The health department descended on the restaurant, shutting it down. The food, water, and air conditioning were all inspected and tested, to no avail.

The big break came when a waitress at the restaurant was rushed to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors that she had been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to pick up her check.

She did not eat or drink while she was there, but had used the restroom.

That is when one toxicologist, remembering an article he had read drove to the restaurant, went into the restroom, and lifted the toilet seat.

Under the seat, out of norm al view, was a small spider.

The spider was captured and brought back to the lab, where it was determine to be the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata), so named because of its reddened flesh color. This spider's venom is extremely toxic, but can take several days to take effect. They live in cool, dark, damp climates, and toilet rims provide just the right atmosphere.

Several days later a lawyer from Jacksonville showed up at a hospital emergency room. Before his death, he told the doctor, that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from Indonesia , changing planes in Singapore , before returning home. He did not visit (Olive Garden), while there.

He did, as did all of the other victims, have what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right buttock.

Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had originated in India The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered an immediate inspection of the toilets of all flights from India , and discovered the Two-Striped Telamonia (Telamonia dimidiata) spider's nests on 4 different planes!

It is now believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the country.

So please, before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for spiders.

It can save your life!

And please pass this on to everyone you care about.

Mick from the Bush

Mick from the Bush Report 10 Oct 2010 10:37

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn’t see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
I jumped high up into the air,
And when I hit the ground,
That crafty red-back spider
Wasn’t nowhere to be found.

I rushed in to the missus,
Told her just where I’d been bit,
She grabbed the cut throat razor blade,
And I nearly took a fit.
I said, “Just forget what’s on your mind,
And call a doctor please,
‘Cause I’ve got a feeling that your cure
Is worse than the disease.”

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn’t see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
And now I’m here in hospital,
A sad and sorry plight,
And I curse that red-back spider

On the toilet seat last night.

I can’t lay down, I can’t sit up,
And I don’t know what to do,
And all the nurses think it’s funny,
But that’s not my point of view.
I tell you it’s embarrassing,
And that’s to say the least
That I’m to sick to eat a bite,
While that spider had a feast!

And when I get back home again,
I tell you what I’ll do,
I’ll make that red-back suffer
For the pain I’m going through.
I’ve had so many needles
That I’m looking like a sieve,
And I promise you that spider
Hasn’t very long to live!

There was a red-back on the toilet seat
When I was there last night,
I didn’t see him in the dark,
But boy! I felt his bite!
And now I’m here in hospital,
A sad and sorry plight,
And I curse that red-back spider
On the toilet seat last night.
