Not able to search birth records tonight and it takes me to page asking me to upgrade from gold to platinum.
anyone know if thats what i need to do now. never saw that coming?

Ive just name searched on this site in BDM and it gives results of those found.!credits to view.

maybe try re-signing in again.

am a gold member with unlimited credits and have resigned on twice tonight and still not working

Im having the same problem have sent a note to the contact centre as yet no reply, its a bit stiff when it cost nearly £36 for six months and the site doesn't work 24/7.

I have same problem seaching births is down, but deaths & marriages ok ???????????????????

hi all i also had the same problem. so i tried looking up my own marriage and it worked. so i think its only births there is a glitch with.

Have you tried Free BMD ? there are a lot more names there since they updated.

I would try another free site but i have paid for this one .
are you saying i can get all that i get here for free somewhere else because i didn't know that was possible?

Always best to try a free search on other sites as sometimes you can get different results. FreeBMD or FamilySearch. With FreeBMD you can view all who married on page volume so can poss guess who the bride was and download page index.

just had a go at the free bmd, bit confused it doesn't show the record only other people who may have added this person i think.

Same problem here, I am a gold member. Cannot afford to pay for another site when I have recently renewed GR. Cannot search for any births - getting very annoyed now.

Yes FreeBMD not easy. For births click info then down to
Scan available . Click here to view
Then down to View the original document in sometimes a choice of files to download
For marriages click on page to view possible brides.

Brian when you get a result on free bmd click on the blue number , that will give all on that page with a possible partner.

just spent last hour trying but coming up with user witholding their details?

i did that eugene but the image came up in windows media and crashed my computer.
the other thing is i use this site trailing through birth docs 1 quarter to the next and have found it works well and paying the 36 pound per six months i dont want to try a more difficault way of searching.

i know your probably trying to advice me to use a free site rather than paying but i have got nowhere tonight.
and i guess that people who use this site find it easier even though it's not free.
but i will consider using the free sites and reading between the lines from what your saying i may later because the goalposts do change on here.
