Yes Wend - my parents were born in England as I was. My parents brought me over to Aus. when I was only 3 so I am Australian but I still feel my British heritage and a deep connection to the places my ancestors were born. |

Both my paternal gparents were Manx. my father b. in Liverpool always regarded himself as Manx - me I am English born of Manx origin!! Yes I do love the place and am so at home there. It will be my last resting place as was my father's. |

Lots of Irish and I have been to vist. My Dad was Irish and on my mums side my 3x great Grandma and x4 great Grandparents were Irish. |

I have ancestors from Ireland, France, Belgium and Scotland (a lot in Fife too Foggy:)) and apart from feeling how nice it is to have a mixed heritage and what cool places the individual places are, I don't think I feel any special affinity to them. |

I grew up in Australia and my children are 1st generation Australian but I feel a deep affinity with England. It keeps pulling me back. |

My Dad always said his g grandfather was Scottish and a Master Mariner. He said he felt a great affinity for the sea, so he joined the Navy. I have always loved the sea myself and have always lived very near to it and have always loved all things Scottish. |

Would have said not although when our daughter lived in Germany when her hubby was stationed there we visited twice a year for the four years they were there and i always felt easy being there. |
