Mick
We live just 12 miles from the capital of the Highlands but don't have gas. LPG is far dearer than oil so oil it is, I'm afraid.

Florence, my sister stays in Stornoway so I know exctly what you mean re the prices. I travel to Skye at least once a month and last time petrol was £1.27 per litre. I guess it will be higher now.

Want a laugh? When Danny Alexander was campaigning for votes he promised to try to get a rural subsidy for fuel. Good, eh? Now that he's the Alliance's hitman there's not much chance of that! Mind you, there's also not much chance of him being re-elected next time round!

Merlin, I agree about T*sc* fuel. My car never performs properly with their fuel.
However, my reason for not buying supermarket fuel is simple. If they get the chance they will force the smaller outlets out of business, then they have the monopoly on prices. I prefer to pay an extra 1p per litre to a smaller outlet.

Woody, Try the Super unleaded, its a bit more in price but you get a clean burn better performance and a few more MPG.**M**.
