Rose

All day I have been thinking

"Rose is such a talented poet and writer that she should be published"

I think you should put your literary talents to good use.
I don't know how you would go about it but I for on would buy your work from W H Smi*ths

If J K Rowlings can do it

i really could not work in a butchers or any shop where they packed their own meat. the smell makes me sick and i am a vegetarian. cant bear to look at animals hanging off hooks etc. yeuuk. i have had a few jos though, superviser in tescos, many year ago, bank officer for 15 years, avon lady for 5 or so years and still going strong and currently a special needs teacher working in various schools and pre schools. i also have a private cleaning job looking after an elderly gentleman who is extended family 4 hours a week.

so i have done and doing quite a lot.theres not much i wouldnt do, but the meat thing is a BIG NO NO.

Not so much "wouldn't do" as probably "couldn't do" - working for the Blood Service and being the one that deals with putting the needles in and taking them out (I think the technical term is venepuncturist). I have enough trouble with them sticking needles in me - I'd go to bits if I had to do it to someone else.

Good luck, Rose. Maybe setting up your own business will be the answer?

The absolute worst job I ever did was potato picking, which I did for a week pr so, some days after my daughter was born. We got paid in coal - I kid you not.!

On the plus side, if you ever want to shed the baby weight, that's the way to do it!

I don't mind cleaning lol I've done a lot of it, I'm much better at doing other people's houses than my own though :)

Funnily enough I was thinking along those lines TootyFruity, I was talking to someone yesterday who started a contract cleaning business 4 years ago and their turnover has built up nicely.

Rose

Ann summers a bit risky then.

I would be more inclined to set up a cleaning business in my local area initially doing private houses then working up to offices. I have a friend who did this and also takes in laundry.

With some Cat, but a lot seem to offer on the job training for the NVQs, i suppose it depends on the area and extent of care...whether it's just basic help or with more specific medical elements to it.

I have done some jobs I wouldn't want to do again. The worst was cleaning the mens toilets. The stink was horrendous.

I thought Ann Summers worked on commission.

I couldn't work with abused children or victims of domestic violence. I would be too angry and couldn't do the job with an objective mind.

Don't you need nvqs nowadays to be a carer?

I think it's more the smell of blood and the sight of vomiting in my case Hayley lol, I can cope with it but it's not something I'd do from choice :)
