Have given the story about "the birds and the bees and safe sex etc"..... "OMG Mum, whaever", rolled eyes.

It wasn't quite as bad as when I gave the same story to my Mum in 1987. lol.

It is awful when they begin to grow up and then comes the first car! Mother's nerves do take a bashing. OH slept soundly - me not until I heard her fairy feet on the garden path!!!

My 16 year old daughter was going on her first proper date tonight, the local council's firework display. She has been like a cat on hot bricks for 2 days. Day off from college today and she has spent all day throwing clothes all over her bedroom. I didn't think it was possible for her room to look any worse than it usually does ..... Mum is NOT always right. lol

I made the evening meal early because she was leaving the house at 6pm. Big Brother came home early and started asking questions. pmsl

Then came the phone call "display has been cancelled due to bad weather". So they are going to the cinema tomorrow instead.... 30 miles away.

Not sure if my nerves can stand it, especially as the fireworks display went ahead anyway.
