Why is it virtually impossible to obtain this item? Had this problem about 3 years ago and now not as mobile am trying the web. What they refer to as long is midcalf. I want my legs and ankles to be warm. |

I do trip over my dressing gown when I go up the stairs carrying my hot drink and books etc. I have three winter dressing gowns and they are all long - what is the point of having one if it doesn't keep your ankles warm and when you are sitting down your feet as well. |

I have 3 - all M & S and the bathrobe is longest but too heavy for me and it is still around calves. Will take your advice on board and check. If I wear OH's it is loverly, soft and warm and have to hitch it up with the belt!!!! |

I noticed a lovely soft fluffy one in Asda last week, in the men's dept but fairly long, altho not full length, only £12/50 and a sort of soft plum colour. I have a full length one I got from La Senza the first year o.h. and I were together, we went to the sales after Christmas and I spotted it and he said he would pay half as it was reduced to £30 which was a lot of money in 1996 It's getting a bit thin now, it's a fleece one, but still warm. To keep my feet and ankles warm I have a wonderful pair of those fleecey soft boots to wear indoors, there is no central heating here and lots of draughts from patio and front doors whipping through as it's sort of open plan. There are lots of soft bootees around that are great for wearing indoors and much warmer and safer than a long dressing gown. |

If the legs are too long,Its amazing what a pair of Pinking Shears and a Needle and cotton can do.Or hemming tape.**M**. |

At 5'1", I find all PJ's far to long, and have to shorten them. Also they are so baggy, I could make another pair out of the surplus, well nearly. Similarly, dressing gowns to come abit longer. |

I used to wear those desert boot slippers and lovely and warm they were too. Even bought teenaged gdau (she was then) a pair. Unfortunately I now need a slipper with a thick nonslip sole. |

I want full length nighties with short sleeves in a non-iron fabric. I dont mind silky as I pile fleece blankets on the bed so am not cold. Have a full length dressing gown, from Cotton traders a few years ago. Would like to buy one of those microfibre sleeved blankets, but cant find out if you can walk in them, also not sure i'd take it off in the winter! Keep the heating bills down though. |

Jean, the blankets are a bit long so you might trip unless you tied a sash round them and the only cover the front of you so when you get up your back would be chilly. |

I made a dressing gown for my young son out of a lovely velvet dress that had got too small for me. That was 45 yrs ago. There is still a large square of that material here that is used for polishing up the furniture. Good material in those days. |

I wear mens pyjamas in the winter they are lovely and fleecy and one pair are black with Jim Beam and the red seal written all over them. With that and my black furry boots - I look very fetching going out to get the paper from the mail box of a morning. |
