yeah i leave mine plugged in as my fridge still works in the cold, but my freezer doesnt, and it a pain because the one in the house is tiny compared to the one in my shed, |

That's interesting, FrostyTSK. The old man said he'd looked up f/freezers on the internet and saw that very thing. Fridge/freezers in garages, etc. need 2 thermostats. Perhaps it's not dead after all, just hibernating lol! Thanks for that - we were going to get rid of it. |

my outside freezer gives up every winter to do with it having 1 thermostat or somthing, it always comes back on in the summer, so winter months i have to squash me freezer food in me indoor freezer as soon as i hear there is gona be frst x |

While we're talking kitchens, our integrated fridge gave up the ghost recently after 11 years. We had it replaced this week, but decided we wouldn't pay H*tpoint the £105 they charge for attaching the door to the fridge. This morning we did it ourselves - took us over 2 hours and caused a certain amount of marital disharmony, but we're £105 better off! Now we don't know whether to take out the 5-year guarantee for parts and labour; if we don't it's bound to go wrong, if we do, it'll probably break down year 6! |
