My mate,who is nearly seventy,was telling me this was always her favourite pudding when her mum made it. It is a milk pudding,made with porridge oats,butter and golden syrup and it came from the side of the Quaker Oats packet. |

Well,yes,it is a variation on porridge but you bake it in the oven like a rice pudding. It is a long,slow cook rather than a quick brew up on the stove top. |
