They have taken advantage of the shelters we have provided for them this weekend. They wont share a shelter so OH turned a black box on its side and put bedding in it and hung a curtain in front. The famale was fast asleep in it this morning and only got up for food. Then went back to the box for another hour, then disappeared. The tomcat has been using his shelter for some weeks. with a temp of -10 last night I bet they were glad of their cosy boxes! We have been feeding them for a year and still cant touch either of them, But they are looking well and strong. |

When we had a lavatory outside I would leave a sack of hay on it's side on the floor of it. |

It makes you feel better to know any animals outside have somewhere to shelter in this cold weather, doesn't it Jean? |

Helen, I am sure you would find that the Cats Protection will be glad of a safe refuge and a place where their feral cats can be homed. What you suggest would be ideal. I dont know whether they charge for feral cats, they do for strays. We gave a donation of forty pounds for our rehomed cat. |
