Coincidentally, I just lost in November a dear family friend whose first husband was a Playford, here in Norwich. Their daughter became estranged from my friend tho so wouldn't be able to contact her to see if there is a link.
I also have an acquaintance named Fenn here in Norwich, small world eh?

Good luck with your investigations.

Ahhhhhh its lovely to be remembered Ann .

I am from way back ( 2003 ) I renew membership yearly but just haven't had the time to come in & play as much as I used to ... have helped out over on the records page from time to time this yr ....

I found a 5th cousin to Thomas George Playford FENN on here but alas no blood relative to our Katharine .... so I'd love to know who the photo was taken for & how did she end up on E Bay??

I have been 'eavesdropping', following this with interest. I shall now have to have another go at locating the three people I have in cartes de visits that I rescued from a flea fair, just because I liked the look of them.

Debi, have you just re-joined or have you been a member and not posted. i am sure I remember your name from way back?

Oh wow Rambling ...... what can I say ?? Thanks doesn't seem enough .

So at least for now I have two blood lines to follow ... Lucy & Margaret's .
I think I'll have to make a mini family tree on a file so I don't loose myself & so I can refer & follow thru ..... but for now just concentrate on these 2 lines .

Such a sadness must have befallen the family back in 1864 loosing THREE sons ....

There's no marriage or death that i can see for Amy mary?
she too was a Governess in 1881

Debi Coone

Debi Coone Report 29 Dec 2010 15:23

Im not convinced that the death in 1915 is Lucy ( gut instinct ) Her sisters Agnes & Katherine stayed put in Sussex.... why would she die in Norfolk??

There is a Lucy PLAYFORD b 1845 wife of James in the 1901 census in Norfolk I think that death is related to her !!

Looking for her in 1901
