Have you noticed that on Merlins last post, he intoduces himself as ROTFPMSL?

Julia

Julia Report 2 Jan 2011 16:13

Hello there Prickles Babes, and a very good afternoon to your dear self.
My decorations are of such a refined taste, like myself, that they could also be left about, until next year, 'cos I lubs 'em, also.
However, I have just started my orchid collection, and the words "swinging a cat around" and "shoehorn", readily come to mind.
So, I am afraid they will have to go away until next year.
Now if I hung pickled shallots on me tree, I would get a visit from that young rascal, Merlin, and he may have to fight off me Gay Gordon.
Not into bloodbaths on me best carpet.LOLOL
Take Care

Huh! Well i for one am not taking my decs down until the earliest of next week end cos i lubs em!
And anyway, if you hang a couple of pickled shallots on your tree on the 12th night and go round it a few times doin the Gay Gordons, its keeps them pesky "Tree Elfy Critter Fings" at bay!! So there!

I cant quite remember if someone told me that or i just made it up! :>)))

Rose Those "Tree elves" would probably turn into Brass monkeys in this weather.and regarding the " Gay Gordons" I think they,ve been disbanded now, and its Probably "The Blues and Royals" who are around Hyde Park.**M**.:o)>

Rambling Report 2 Jan 2011 12:08

ooh no perhaps not then!

"Once this period was over it was necessary to return the greenery back outside to release the tree-spirits into the countryside once again. Failure to do this would mean that vegetation would not be able to start growing again (spring would not return), leading to an agricultural disaster. "

I don't want it to be a case of " when winter comes without a spring that I shall ever see"

I am just perverse ;) I like the sound of the tree elves being around and making life a little less dull lol.

As people have already said . Twelfth night is Wednesday 5th January it's the night before Epiphany on the 6th January.

It doesn't say you have to wait for 12th night only they must be down by then.
