My special Kiwi friend will be celebrating her 75th Birthday on the 11th January, in New Zealand, and her son shares her birthday.

Thinking about you Huia. I hope you have a very pleasant day. Would you sing 'Happy Birthday' to yourself as you won't hear me from here and your voice is much better than mine anyway !

Today is only Sunday here at present (almost 7pm), so you are slightly early, but thanks anyway.

How do you know my voice is much better than yours? I could have been exagerating my ability.

I havent decided yet what I will be doing on Tuesday. Maybe I will go for a drive somewhere. Maybe I will stay at home to keep cool, or as cool as I can.

I still havent decided what I am going to do on my birthday. Today I must go for a long walk to try to lose a bit more weight. Maybe tomorrow I will just loll around the house. Or go for a drive somewhere. Or .......

Knew I was putting it on early but wasn't sure when you would see the thread, Huia. I know you are ahead of us timewise and wanted to have some messages for you on the day or before hand in case you went off somewhere for the day.

Linda, it isnt until tomorrow, but thanks anyway, and I wont be seeing my son as he lives and works in Rotorua which is almost 3 hours drive away - less for him if he speeds!

I went for a walk of over an hour this morning. Got back, had lunch then decided to weigh myself again. I was 400 gms lighter (after lunch) than I had been before breakfast. I always weigh myself before breakfast each day, so I am hoping I wont put any weight on again before tomorrow. Of course I cant say what I might weigh on Wed. morning if I pig-out on my birthday tomorrow.

A relative, 3rd cousin I think, is arriving from Oz on Wed. and would like to meet up with me some time. I might visit Phil tomorrow so that my next few days are free.

Something nice to look forward to then Huia, a change from the normal everyday things.
Hope you find Phil ok, and he is a bit more alert than some visits. Maybe you should take in birthday cakes, just little ones, cupcakes or something, for you and him.

What time will it be here when your birthday starts? Do you know what time of day you were born?
My birthday starts around 6.30am I think on the day.

I was born at midnight, but I dont know if it was at the beginning of the day or at the end of it :(((((

The 11th starts for us in just under 2 hours time, at 11 a.m. your time. I am not going to stay up until then, though.
