which ones do you use and do you think they work?

Are more expensive ones actually better or are cheaper alternatives just as good?

OR are they all a waste of money......what do you think? x

I have always moisturised and also creamed my hands. I see no point in buying the expensive ones, they are all hype anyway. Baby lotion or Simple preparations are my favourite.

I'm allergic to Lanolin,or something else in a lot of moisturiser/cleansers, so have to be careful. 'Simply' products are no good.
I use Aqueous cream to clean my face.
I used to use Ulay face cream- then it became Olay and changed something in it's ingredients,or my skin got fed up with it!
I used Body Shop Hemp face cream for years- but they've stopped making it. I am currently using their hand cream on my face!!

How I hate the bother & expense of trying to find a new moisturiser.
Try the blooming things for a week - then, if I don't notice the slight taughtness of my skin, my eyes will suddenly get huge scaly bits on them and the skin on my face starts peeling off. I'd beo okay if I was in a Zombie film!!

Good skin is often the work of good genes not necessarily what products you use. I use good old Nivea - hand cream, moisturiser and eye cream. I do think my skin benefits from using a gentle exfoliator now and then but someone told me that you can do that with a cleanser and flannel.

I have been using Clinique 'Even Better' moisturiser for about a year and I have to say it really has made a difference to my skin. I would recommend it as have tried most other creams over the years and this one really works. It is a bit expensive but you only need a little. BC XX

LOL McB..x

Reason for asking is that I always used Clarins..then for a while economised and went onto the Aldi range..which I thought was ok til I got hold of some Clarins cheap...and the difference within a week was marked !!!

Annoyed that it's the case for my skin but it just is :0(

Now know what I will be getting every birthday and Christmas ...as I can't bring myself to buy it on the family budget !!! :0(

Muffy, you could go into all your department stores and ask for a free sample...say you want to try it before you buy. I always get free samples, maybe cos I look so scary! lol Be bold! BC XX

They sell them dead cheap at the markets I go to BC...I'm a bit in awe of the cheesy wotsit coloured sales ladies at the big department stores on them counters lololol. Even though one of my best friends used to be one (which was what made me use Clarins in the first place cos i used to get if for nowt lol) x

I just like having a full sized one (pardon the pun ;0)) so that I don't have to spend every 3rd day trying to squeeze the dregs out of the little 2ml tester lol

ps...you're not scary..you're charming...THAT is why they give the freebies my lovely lololol x

I've used lots over the years, Nivea is a good less expensive one, but I do find that the more expensive ones are better. I don't pay silly money though! I also have sensitive skin so tend to use products that are plant, rather than petroleum, based.

lol Susan

I agree with Suemaid, a lot of it is genes. I'm lucky, my mum has good skin and I seem to have inherited it. I rarely use moisturiser, although I should especially now I'm getting older. I just forget to use it. When I do I don't use a specific one though, I buy what appeals to me at the time.

i have been an A**n lady for a few years now and so have tried a variety of their creams. i find their anew skincare for mature skin works for me. it does cost about £18.00 a jar, but you only need a small amount and it lasts for about 3 months, which i think is good value.

of course being an agent i do get a discount and demo products very cheap which is a bonus.

I tend to have a reaction to face products,so stick with Ulay, and Vaseline Intensive Care for my other 'bits'.
