Yes, Ancestry and FMP will have the same information, as indeed will any other source of BMD records - there is only one set of GRO records, irrespective of which site you choose to look at them. |

When I couldnt find my Backhouse family in the index for 1841, I decided to try a street search, as I knew they were in Barter St in Liverpool in that census, as they were in the following one, so I typed in the Street name and then had to go through a long list of households (unnamed) until I found the Burkhouse. I didnt actually go through all the households, as I knew the folio and page number I wanted, from the copy I had from the LDS film from many many years ago, so I was able to skip some households until I got 'hotter' and then there they were. But without prior information it would have meant going through all 56 (I think) of the households. |
