Yes, Ancestry and FMP will have the same information, as indeed will any other source of BMD records - there is only one set of GRO records, irrespective of which site you choose to look at them.

Huia,

As you look at more and more records, you will find that there are actually a considerable number of mis trancriptions, as you say, mainly due to poor handwriting or the poor quality of the images on the microfillm provided by the GRO. I came across a 'Norah' transcribed as 'Beval' from a census on Ancestry. FMP was transcribed correctly.

I now make a point of reporting all discrepancies that I come across in the hope it will make life easier for other researchers.

When I couldnt find my Backhouse family in the index for 1841, I decided to try a street search, as I knew they were in Barter St in Liverpool in that census, as they were in the following one, so I typed in the Street name and then had to go through a long list of households (unnamed) until I found the Burkhouse. I didnt actually go through all the households, as I knew the folio and page number I wanted, from the copy I had from the LDS film from many many years ago, so I was able to skip some households until I got 'hotter' and then there they were. But without prior information it would have meant going through all 56 (I think) of the households.

I am printing out the transcripts of my family, and just saving the images to computer. The transcripts dont use so much ink.
