Received e-mail from Scotlands People stating
we will be able to view 1911 census also on 5th April
through their site.

Might be an idea to stock up on the credits now as there's a price rise looming on SP. It'll be £7 for the 30 credits from April. Cost of entry to Gros rises as well by £5 for the day and cost of certificates will rise also, though of course you will still be able to get the page from the register as now.

Foggy, if you look at the Moonfruit site on SFT, we have a list of BDM certificates. It's by no means complete but what's there took some time to do.
I have thousands of certs as well and have tried saving them in folders by county so if I'm researching someone in perhaps Aberdeen, I can check the certs I have first.
The ones you save on SP are indexed by the name you looked for but there are usually another two certs per page as well - these can be the ones that yield the surprises!

Foggy have thought about the same thing over the
years that I've been researching, seems a shame
to not share this info with others who are struggling
to get this info, but how to go about it I haven't a clue
not unless you put a site up yourself and let others know
about it and they can search for themselves. Does that
make sense?

LOL thanks.

Emma,
over the last few years I have downloaded 100s of BDM images from SP of my ancestors, well, there are many many other entries on the images that might be useful to others.

Do you know of a site where one can post these images for other people who might be researching Scottish people.?
