This one is a JML one??? don't know if that helps.

Thanks Irene...I've not finished it yet so the girls haven't tasted it.

Though they laughed when they saw the small top and large bottom lololol.

I've made and refrigerated the icing so I'm hoping to beautify it tomorrow when I have more time..

It's not TOO bad for a first effort...though I'm hoping for better things next time ! x

I bought 2 weeks ago a cupcake maker. It looks like a George Foreman grill. It has seven moulds inside and makes little cup cakes. My grandkids are loving it.It cooks them in 4 minutes. Its brilliant.

Well done Muffy --- it is really an achievement

perhaps you had better take the name cupcake queen

bet your little girls loved it

Ended up googling for a cheaper version than Lakeyouknowwho
as I live in Spain and their postage rates are horrific --

Did you see This Morning one day last week , it was Holly's birthday and they gave her a large cup cake with lots of little ones put on the top wrapped in paper like a posie of flowers ,looked ever so pretty.

Good old butter icing , covers up a multitude of sins lol

May be the mould just needs a little more greasing in places ,once it seasons up a bit you'll well away .

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 14 Feb 2011 13:11

Errr Yes it's cooked but it's in need of a bit of cutting about and prettying up a bit because it didn't come out of the mould terribly smoothly.

I'm going to put it in the fridge...as per advice on one of the sites and finish it off with butter icing later.

The jury is still out for now..but at least it cooked ok and didn't burn !!! lol x

**edit...ha ha ha ha ...I don't think I put enough mix on the top bit so I have a jumbo sized base and a tiny top ...I don't think I'd win any prizes on this one ...let's hope it looks better once iced !! x

MillymollyAmanda Report 14 Feb 2011 13:09

It looks brilliant --- never see or heard of this before --- what a wonderful cake tine

Thanks and good luck with your first "bake in"

You'd have to get in the queue with the two little girls who are my taste testers now...but you'd be more than welcome Mary lol .

I'm not a fantastic baker...it usually takes me one or two trials before things work...but i do enjoy it...I started baking initially to use up the eggs from my chickens ...now the family have come to expect it....the .visiting ones as well as the ones that live here lol x

LOL. Yeah it's hard to odds it isn't it !! x

...I think what I'll do is make up two lots of the recipe..fill the mould to where i THINK it should go up to then use the rest of the recipe to make smaller cupcakes ..taking care to put them in a cooler oven if they're less sloppy......

I think I'm in for some fun tomorrow LOLOLOLOL x

Three pieces !!

I now had another look at the video and i'am wondering if the mix IS six egg
Using three egg mix for each tin !! there looks a lot of mix in her bowl !!

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 13 Feb 2011 15:04

It comes in 3 pieces...there 's a top and bottom bit..and the lid for the bottom bit to created the dip.

I thought at first it would be a case of just doing a victoria sponge in it but apparently if the mix is too sloppy the long cooking time will just burn the top of it and not cook the bottom....these things are never straight forward are they ! lol.

I would love to save you a slice...assuming it turns out ok lol x

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 13 Feb 2011 14:55

Is it just the bottom tin ? only i was looking on Lakel*nd Plastic and their tin is in two pieces , the bottom and the top ,if you see what i mean .
It says on there it takes a six egg recipe ,but when you watch the video she says three egg recipe !!
Have a look .

Oh ,save a slice for me lol
