Well I have the cleanest cooker in town!!!! Left all the oven insides in "OVEN PRIDE" all evening kept turning every half hour. This morning I washed them off and put them in dishwasher with all the bits off the hob. CLEAN AS A BELL used a hand held steamer to get into all the corners of the oven and the grill, which I haven't used in the big oven for ages. kept setting all the grease on fire.!!!!! Left the grill on for half hour, no smoke now. Have now got the baking trays in dishwasher. this morning at 8.30 I only went to get some breakfast. Still not eaten But feel quite please with myself

Just reminded me I must do our oven. I have always used Oven Pride. When I've done the cooker I put the BBQ racks in the liquid.

I am disabled and can't manage myself to do oven but I have a company called SouthEastOvenCleaners.co.uk my oven looks as good as new, they take out the shelves the inside wall panels, rubber strip and doors are taken apart it comes up looking shining and looks new. Cost £45 not too bad I only have it done once every one/two years.

Or lynne could try the pot of pink paste made by Vanish.

Hi Lynne,Glad you were pleased with result.I think it's good to pass on things we can recommend, just the same as I do with neighbours when I get good service from workmen etc.
sorry I don't know about cleaning the top of your cooker.I have a gas hob,but if it is ceramic I think you have to have a special cream.
My mother always used Bicarb around her rings to clean and after over 20 years it looked as though it had come out of a showroom.

We've used Lakeland's oven cleaner for the past few years, having found it was one of the few that actually worked.

However, will give Oven Pride a go next time - half the price too.

Ann,
I bought mine in Morrisons, but my friend who recommended it bought her's in the Coop.In fact I think all stores have it.It's in an orange box about £3 50,although after I bought mine I saw it in Aldis at a pound less.My oven is shining inside and also the racks.

Our inner glass slides out.

Brenda, where do you buy the Oven Pride Cleaner? Sounds good.

I put my oven rack/shelf in the dish washer.I put it flat then just use a sponge/scourer to remove the grease that is, by the soft.

O.h.'s father praised the cleaning stuff so o.h. bought some, it's still in the cupboard! I do all the cooking but can't clean oven as I can't bend down that far and reach into the cavity without doing my shoulders a mischief.

O.h.'s Dad did his cooking pans in the bag too, silly idiot, it took all the nonstick surface off.

My cooker at home has a Yorkshire pud batter run inside the door and one screw had rusted in so I couldn't open it, must try some coca cola ont the screw one day and hope it releases the thread, otherwise will have a coke run to go with the Yorkie pud one!

For anyone interested....this Oven Pride cleaner is fab!
No scrubbing, use it on a cold oven, shelves in a bag overnight with the liquid and the dirt/grease just floats away...and no smells...thoroughly recommend it.
