So what? says you. Last time was 6 April 2009 and saw Doddy with OH and son and then I took ill a few days later.

This time only as far as local community centre but it is on the flat and it is a jazz /swing night. I may get carried away and go in the aisles with my stroller for a boogie!!

Oh Lassie - we certainly burn the midnight oil!!

I am a dirty little stop-out, got home few minutes ago OH making a cuppa.
It was an excellent evening and saw some people I hadn't met for ages. Really enjoyed it and so did OH.

Hi Chris, hope you can do a little outing again, it sounds as tho it cheered you up catching up with old friends and acquaintances. Always does that for me too, as I don't get out anywhere near as much as I used to. Thought when I met o.h. my social life would improve but it was a five minute wonder, and I have almost lost touch with lots of friends now as I don't have time or energy to catch up with them. They couldn't make o.h. out so dinner dates weren't repeated, it was when he had a bit of a drink problem too so was embarrassing sometimes.

Have a lie in tomorrow if you need it, and make arrangements to go out again soon. Did you do any bopping lol?

so glad you enjoyed your evening chris.it makes us feel really good doesnt it. i rarely go out in the evenings now. i used to go to the bingo on sat eve at our village social club, but when oh lost his job, couldnt afford to go anymore. and now although he has a good job and me part time, i just got out of the habit and have become a bit boring. cosying in front of tv and casualty with a bar of choccy! and of course wasnt a member of gr then, so this keeps me busy too, wouldnt want to miss whats going on here lol.
although i think just recently, it has gone very quiet. the threads are not as plentiful as they were 2 years ago.

Dear Liz and Florence, no I restrained myself but the feet were tapping!! Actually it was set out like a jazz club with tables for four and had a licence, OH felt quite at home said the only thing missing was the fog from the fags!!

Have enjoyed my cuppa and getting topped up with the oxygen. Have to agree threads up to about 3-4 years ago were wonderful and came thick and fast - by the time you had typed up a posting three or four others were in there before you and we had daft threads, the weekends were hilarious - OH used to come up and ask me what I was laughing at!!!

Hi Florence, you are so right, the boards are dead compared to when I first joined in in 2005 and even a couple of years ago as you say threads were more plentiful. I used to come on here at nights and plough through ten pages or so on General topics thread, answering whatever or whoever caught my interest and having a laugh with a few other night owls. Now it's so different!

I am dividing my time this evening with being online and then going back to the other room, and watching a few more progs I recorded on the dvd recorder. O.h. is away at his son's for the night to see his granddaughter and I made sure I had chocolate to hand lol

I used to work in nightclubs years ago Chris, I so remember the fagfog lol!
Much nicer and healthier nowadays.

Off to watch the last episode of South Riding which I recorded the other evening.
Night all, might be back later if I don't doze off or might have an early night for a change while he is out of the way, no snoring lol
