Oh wow! I left school and started work in 76. I spent the summer in the shopfront of a dry cleaners. I remember the heat. Factory regulations totally ignored with no decent air conditioning. The back of the shop with all the presses was 125 degrees! The radio was always on out back so the music of that year has always stuck with me. |

Ah, Gary Brooker, IGP - watched him singing 'Whiter shade of Pale' at the piano with just a tenor saxophinist accompanying him, at a Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings show in a tent in a field in West Sussex about 5 years ago - it was sheeeer magic! |
