Hazel, I have added you all to my special time each day, when I contemplate and have positive thoughts for people in need. I have identical twin boys and there are now 33 years old. We were told that the very small one may not survive and would most likely have difficulties. He is now an Officer in the Army......
If the child does have Down Syndrom there are a very wide degrees of this condition and they would have an enmormous support,

Thinking of you all

Hazel, I do hope the news is better on Friday and both babies are fine.

Having a Down's syndrome baby is not the end of the world however and there are many Downs children who grow up to do a great deal more than people expect of them these days and lead rich and fulfilling lives, giving joy and happiness to all who know them.

Hazel - my daughter had twins just over four years ago and our little grand-daughter has Down's Syndrome. We found out when my daughter had a scan at 12 weeks.

I really hope that all goes well with the scan but as LIz says - it isn't the end of the world. Our little girl is our pride and joy. She's healthy, happy and as bright as can be. She is starting school next year and will go to the same school as her twin brother. The only problem she has is her speech is a little slow compared to her twin but speech therapy is helping a great deal and we are sure finding out what a cheeky little madam she can be.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Whatever the scan shows, I'm sure the twins will be born into a loving family and loved equally.

Thinking of you Hazel, I know both twins will have lots of love and support. and each bring you their own special joy. My great-nephew has a diagnosis of Downs syndrome , and he is a precious gift to our family.
