I meant to add to this thread when I heard Seve had lost his battle, but didn't.

I am glad he is now free from pain and suffering but didn't deserve to suffer at all, so sad that good people get cancer and such and have to go through so much pain.
My sympathy to his family, his son was in the programme I watched about him a while back and it was so nice to see him so loved.

Shame on them - not one of the top American golfers (or those on the American circuit) attended Seve's funeral. It was mentioned that some would be playing in a competition but not all of them. All busy chasing that big buck - the dollar.

His European golfing colleagues were there an the Ryder Cup golfers.

Heard this sad news on TV this morning. I took up the
game years ago with my OH,we were great fans of his.
Unfortunately had to give it up due to RA, but he inspired
me to try golf and I loved it and miss playing.

I have just read that Seve has died. How terribly sad. He was by all accounts a man who honoured and respected family life.

My quiet time today will include prayers and positive thoughts for his family

Just announced on our news that he has passed away. You are right Liz he loved life and it is very sad to see someone with such strenghts fade away like that.

I watched a programme about him a while back, and hadn't realised till then how ill he had been. He had fought back so well and seemed such a lovely man, who didn't deserve all that had happened to him.

I am sorry he has become unwell again but am glad he is with his family and hope he can find the strength to fight some more, with their support and love.

He was a very good looking man, even when recovering in the programme I watched and had such dignity and yet was funloving too.

.This is so sad. He was mentioned by commentators at the Masters recently and I thought he was holding his own. Sad to hear that he's not the best.

Poor man. Such a shame. He was such a character on the course and eveyone loved him. We still do.

He's in our prayers.
