Annie, I am sorry to read this news as I know how much J means to you but you have done amazingly well with him, and all that hard work will stay with him and make him the young man he is becoming whoever he is living with. I am sure you mean the world to him but you have had so much stress over the years and still do have, I know, so take time to look after yourself and get yourself as well as possible so you can be there for him whenever he wants to see you and talk with you.

Take care and be proud, he knows who was there for him at the time he needed it most and will always be 'yours'

He is yours.

It is only the practical physical things he is doing with his other grandparents. The important, heartfelt things he is still doing with you.

By their very nature,teenage boys are horrible,they have to be,it is the law! They will have all the grim bits when he is a little git,as he surely must be,it isordained! You will get all ithe nice scrubbed up bits,the ones you probably always have cherished.

You haven't lost him,you have gained a bit of me time until he is old enough to choose to come back and look after you or strike out alone and watch your welfare from a safe distance.

Annie, you can be content knowing that you gave him a good life while he was with you. Your health must come first now and at least he didn't go into care but is still with family. I am sure he will still stay in contact with you.

Hi Annie, I remember you taking your Grandson on all those years ago, you have done a fantastic job! he will never forget what a wonderful caring, loving and generous person you are.
You never know, but as he gets older and is allowed to make his own choices where he can live, he may return the love he recieved and come back to you.
At least you haven't lost the contact, thats one blessing.
It must be a very hard thing to have to give a child up, I can't imagine how hard it is for you.

I have heart problems and high blood pressure so social services was going to put him foster care.I asked for his other grandparents to take him.Still gutted though
