Who will be first on that one? As a very oldie i remember my grannie and some aunties having aspidestras growing in the living room in big Greek urns.(Think the plants liked gas light). |

I had one about 20 years ago, loved it, but then I am old fashioned.Don't think they are readily available at the moment otherwise I would get one as they don't need a great deel of care and from my point of view that is a good thng, I either kill indoor plants with too much kindness or total unintended neglect, I'm hopeless. |

Harry i still have an aspidistra, (two in fact) it has been split several times but the main part is still in the terracotta pot it was in when my grandmother was photographed with it outside her parents house around 1900. |

I had one for about 40 years .It was given to me by a man I worked with, called Fred Grundy as I recall (wonder whatever happened to him? lol) and saw me through some interesting years. Eventually it yellowed and died...tsk tsk.... BCXX |

My great aunt had a large oak chest in the front bedroom. I was very small and it was spooky but I would have to follow my brothers as they explored. I just knew there was a body in this chest and had to be passed each time there was an expedition. I always gave it as wide a berth as I could. |

We have 3 which o h looks after he's actualy named 2 Alice and Blanche (don't ask) he keeps them in the shed in winter .Hr bought a greenhouse heater to keep them at right temperature say's its to hot in house . Think he thinks more of them than me! haha |
